Frequently asked questions

Does “observed” mean installed on my phone?

No. “Installed” is based on local handset information when it can be verified. “Observed” means UpdateCheck retained accepted evidence for a release on a specified exact model and market.

Does a market observation guarantee an OTA for me?

No. A Samsung software-distribution code is not a promise that every handset in a geographic area has an OTA offer. Check Samsung Settings → Software update on your own phone.

Why is the next release unknown?

UpdateCheck does not turn missing evidence into a promised release or date. A support-policy horizon and direct rollout observation are different facts.

Can I browse releases without saving a device?

Yes in the Android app. Global rollout browsing is separate from personal-device tracking.

How do I remove my information?

Remove a saved device in the app, or use the account-deletion page for your whole account. The Privacy Policy explains the active-data and backup boundary.

Something looks wrong

Check the exact model, market and observation source in the app’s evidence view. See Contact for the current support route.
